Downtown Hyattsville turns into an arts arena with the fourth annual Hyattsville Arts Festival on Saturday. The day will feature music and dance, including pan-African step group Joe’s Movement Emporium and Afro-pop music from Cheick Hamala Diabate. Items from serigraphs to jewelry will be sold, and the artdc Gallery will hold an opening reception for its annual small-works exhibition, 12”x12.” Food will be available for purchase; parking and admission are free, with free shuttle bus service from the West Hyattsville Metro stop on the Green Line. The event, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., is at the intersection of Baltimore Avenue (Route 1) and Jefferson Street. Artdc Gallery is in the Lustine Center, 5710 Baltimore Ave., Hyattsville.
