Artist Statement
Our world is constantly changing. As a society, we need to consider the important aspects of how we live together, function together, hope together. My sculptures look at what helps bind us together and make for a better world: living our best selves both as individuals and as members of a community.
I find that my work frequently includes a spiritual component: who are we as individuals, where are we headed, and what do we prioritize in life. This aspect of my work is truly about the relationship with Self and Universe.
Generally, the materials I use are steel, cast metals and woods of various types. Many of my works are made from salvaged or recycled resources.
