Dear Neighbors,

We have some exciting news to share — there's new public art on the streets of Berwyn Heights! The Berwyn Heights Traffic Box Project has introduced 12 wrapped traffic signal boxes, each designed by one of nine incredible artists. Funded by the Town of Berwyn Heights and facilitated by the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation, the project transforms everyday infrastructure into permanent works of art and marks an exciting step forward in making creativity a lasting and accessible part of daily life in Berwyn Heights.

This project came to life through the cooperation of the Prince George's County Department of Public Works & Transportation, the Maryland State Highway Administration, Verizon, and the generous participation of the Town of Berwyn Heights.

Nine artists were selected through an open call for submissions, with final designs chosen by a panel of local community members. Each of the 12 wraps is produced on patented vinyl with an anti-graffiti coating, ensuring the artwork will remain a visible and lasting feature of Berwyn Heights.
