World Cup Watch Party/Summer Soccer Kick-off

The Summer Soccer Kick-off Watch Party was a family-friendly community event held at Heurich Park on June 27th,2026, bringing neighbors together to celebrate the global excitement of the World Cup with a local twist. Hosted by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission in partnership with the City of Hyattsville, the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation and other community organizations, the event turned the park into a lively outdoor viewing space with a big-screen broadcast, food vendors, and soccer-themed activities.

Trolley Trail Day 2026

During the 5th annual Trolley Trail Day, the communities along the Rhode Island Avenue Trolley Trail in Prince George’s County came out for a full free event designed to engage the community, bring awareness to trail access and celebrate our culturally rich Route 1 Corridor! Events and activities happened all day from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., along the entirety of the Trolley Trail in College Park, Riverdale Park, Hyattsville, and beyond this year with the addition of activity hubs in North Brentwood, Brentwood and Mount Rainier.
