In anticipation for this Saturday’s “Bursting On The Scene” Public Art Event in West Hyattsville (5/13/17 12p-5p; raindate 5/20/17), we’re thrilled to share with you this recap video of 2014’s “Bursting In Air.” A public art party held in Downtown Hyattsville in the Gateway Arts District, “Bursting In Air” featured live murals, aerial artists, a live puppet show, the 1814! Rock Opera, and craft beer from Franklin’s Brewery. Organized by the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation, the event celebrated our community’s growth since the War of 1812 via Star Spangled 200 and the Art Lives Here placemaking campaign.
